Hermiston School District is announcing online kindergarten registration to be open from May 26 – June 11, for the 2020-2021 school year.
Incoming kindergarten students must be five (5) years old by Sept. 1, 2020. To begin, the parent/guardian may visit https://www.hermiston.k12.or.us/apps/pages/registration/ (the final “l” needs to be included), click “Online Registration” on the right-hand corner of the page. If this is the first time that a parent/guardian is registering a student, an account will need to be created; an e-mail address or cell phone will be required. If the parent has previously registered students online, the same account may be used to register the new student.
When finished with the online process, the parent/guardian will need to contact their child’s school to schedule an appointment with the school secretary to take the necessary documents birth certificate (baptismal certificate or passport); proof of residence; and health/immunization records to complete the registration process, as well as to fill out any additional paperwork.
To locate their child’s attendance area school, the parent/guardian may visit https://www.hermiston.k12.or.us/apps/pages/transportation/, enter their home address, or call a school directly for assistance.

In response to the current pandemic, the district’s facilities are currently closed to the general public. If restrictions are lifted, the district may plan an onsite registration date to assist families that may not have access to a computer or an electronic device.

Distrito abre las inscripciones para la Clase del 2033
El Distrito Escolar de Hermiston está anunciando que del 26 de mayo al 11 de junio se abren las inscripciones en línea para estudiantes del kínder para el año escolar 2020-21.
Los estudiantes nuevos que entrarán al kínder deben tener 5 años de edad antes del 1 de septiembre del 2020. Para iniciar, lo padres/tutores pueden ir a www.hermiston.k12.or.us/apps/pages/registration/, (necesitan incluir el último “l”) haciéndole clic donde dice “La Inscripción en Línea” ubicado al lado derecho de la página. Si es la primera vez que el padre/tutor está inscribiendo a un estudiante, necesitará crear una cuenta; para hacerlo se requiere tener un correo electrónico o celular. Si el padre previamente ha inscrito a estudiantes en línea, la misma cuenta se puede usar para inscribir al nuevo estudiante.
Cuando termine el proceso en línea, el padre/tutor necesitará comunicarse con la escuela de su hijo, para fijar una cita con la secretaria para llevar la acta de nacimiento de su hijo/a (certificado de bautismo o pasaporte); comprobante del domicilio; y expediente de vacunas, para completar el proceso de inscripción y para rellenar documentos adicionales.
Para ubicar la escuela a la cual su hijo asistirá, el padre/tutor puede visitar https://www.hermiston.k12.or.us/apps/pages/transportation/, ingresar el domicilio o llamar a la escuela para pedir ayuda.
