HERMISTON- The Hermiston School District is thrilled to announce the development of a new Health Center at Hermiston High School in partnership with UCo Health. This collaborative effort aims to re-establish essential health services unavailable at the high school for the past two years.
The new Health Center at Hermiston High School will not only provide students and staff with access to a range of acute care and health promotion services but also play a crucial role in minimizing school absences and enhancing overall community well-being. Services such as sports physicals, immunizations, and other critical short-term health assessments, care, and referrals will be available, ensuring timely medical attention for all.
The district is actively working towards opening the Health Center close to the start of the 2024-25 school year. The exact date is yet to be determined and is dependent on the successful recruitment of qualified health professionals to staff the center.
The establishment of the Health Center is a significant step forward in our commitment to promoting a healthy learning environment and ensuring that our students and staff have the necessary support to succeed both academically and personally.

HERMISTON- El Distrito Escolar de Hermiston está emocionado en anunciar la noticia de un nuevo Centro de Salud en la Preparatoria de Hermiston en asociación con UCo Health. Este esfuerzo colaborativo tiene como objetivo reestablecer los servicios de salud esenciales que no estuvieron disponible en la preparatoria durante los últimos dos años.
El nuevo Centro de Salud en la Preparatoria de Hermiston no solo proveerá a los estudiantes y al personal acceso a una variedad de servicios de atención aguda y promoción de la salud pero también desempeñará un papel crucial para minimizar las ausencias escolares y mejorar el bienestar de la comunidad. Los servicios como los exámenes físicos para deportes, vacunas, y otras evaluaciones de salud criticas a corto plazo, atención y referencias estarán disponibles, para asegurar la atención del cuidado médico a tiempo.
El distrito está trabajando activamente para abrir el Centro de Salud cerca del inicio del año escolar del 2024-2025. La fecha exacta aún no se ha determinado y depende del éxito del reclutamiento de profesionales de salud califcados para emplear a los trabajadores del centro.
