Mrs. Bacon earned a Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies from Eastern Oregon University and a Master of Education from Lesley University. She later completed her administrative licensure through Lewis and Clark University.
Her career in education began as a 6th grade teacher, teaching middle school mathematics, home economics, and technology, after which she went on to teach 3rd grade for several years. She then served as district testing coordinator and instructional coach for grades K–12 in the Echo School District. For the past eight years, Mrs. Bacon has been a dedicated leader in the Hermiston School District.
A Message from Principal Bacon:
“The most rewarding aspect of being a principal is witnessing the hard work and dedication our staff devote to students each day. Our teachers consistently demonstrate care, compassion, and a genuine commitment to student success. I find great joy in observing students as they learn, build meaningful relationships, and apply their knowledge and experiences to all areas of life.”
Mrs. Bacon and her husband, who also works in education, share a strong passion for supporting students and schools. They are the proud parents of three children—Jacob, Sydney, and Carson—and a yellow lab, Annie. Their oldest son, Jacob, is pursuing a career as an electrician. Sydney is entering college to become an educator, and Carson is a sophomore at Hermiston High School. Outside of school, the Bacon family enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and supporting their children’s many athletic and school activities.
