Mrs.Bacon attended Eastern Oregon University, where she received her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Multidisciplinary Studies and her Master’s Degree from Lesley University in Education. She furthered her education at Lewis and Clark University, where she received her administration license.
She started her career in education teaching 3rd grade. Then went on to teach 6th grade, middle school math, middle school home economics, and then middle school technology. She then continued her professional journey in education as a district testing coordinator and instructional coach for the grades K-12th in the Echo School District. Mrs. Bacon has now been with the Hermiston School District for four years.
A Message from Principal Bacon:
“What makes me most happy about being a principal is seeing the hard work and dedication our staff gives to our students every single day. Teachers have a genuinely caring, compassionate demeanor and the biggest heart for kids. I love seeing students learn and watching them build relationships with peers, then taking that learning and friendships to apply it to all aspects of life.”
Mrs. Bacon feels very fortunate to share the same passion for education with her husband. Together they have three beautiful children, Jacob, Sydney, and Carson. But their most favorite child is the family's 4-year-old yellow lab, Annie. Their oldest son, Jacob, just graduated from high school and plans to become an electrician. Their daughter will be a junior, and their youngest son is a 7th grader. Their family keeps them busy running from sport to sport or school activity. When they’re not running after their children, you can find the Bacon family traveling and being outdoors.
